Gifts of Stock
Gifts of stock are always welcome and the process is straightforward. Your stock donation is transferred from your broker to the church’s account and promptly sold.
Legacy Giving
Including the church in your estate planning is a meaningful way to ensure that the spiritual community you cherish will continue to thrive for future generations.
The process works by adding language to your will or living trust. As an example: “I give First Congregational Church of Akron, a non-profit religious organization, located at 292 E Market Street, Akron OH 44308 (Federal Tax ID No:34-0714664) or its successor thereto, _____________ (designate a written dollar amount, a percentage of the estate, or a description of property or items) for its _____________ (unrestricted use – for operations – or restricted use in support of a specific named ministry).”

Downsizing or redecorating? We are interested in any of the following items you have. Accepted donations will become the property of the church and may be used, displayed, stored, or removed at our discretion.
- Furniture – round table with chairs (seats 8-10), bookshelves, end tables, coffee tables, office chairs, file cabinets
- Precious artwork – a legacy that would be on a display rotation
- Everyday silverware sets
- 8′ rectangular white tablecloths
- Office Supplies – scissors, scotch tape, pens, pencils, packing tape, highlighters, markers, file folders, post it notes, staplers
