Our Ministries
Church ministries are vital to the community, providing activities and services that foster spiritual growth and mutual support. At AkronFCC, our ministries extend help to those in need, both within the church and the broader community, embodying the love and kindness taught by Jesus.
In addition to the ministries listed below (click the links to learn more!) we also hold weekly Faith Enrichment gatherings every Wednesday at 10:45am in our library. A few times a year, we hold a Silver Lining Luncheon which provides retired members of the congregation a good opportunity to reconnect with friends, and enjoy a meal and musical program.

Year-round we collect poptabs to donate to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northeast Ohio. They recycle the metal and use the proceeds to support the families staying with them while their loved ones receive care.
Anything that has a pulltab can be donated! This isn’t limited to cans of soda; tabs from canned food, animal food, etc can also be donated. Drop off your poptabs in the church office, look for the collection box!
Any receipts your have from any Acme grocery store dated August 1, 2025 to February 15, 2026 can be turned in at the church office by mid-February, 2026. AkronFCC receives the cashback amount listed at the bottom of each receipt. This money helps support are various ministries. Thank you for your help!
While our Prayer Blanket Ministry has officially ended after years and years of devoted service, we still gather as a congregation a few times a year to make prayer blankets to give out to members of the community that may find them comforting during difficult times.
If you, or someone you know, could use a prayer blanket, please contact us!
