Chancel Choir
Music at AkronFCC has a long-standing tradition of excellence. It’s as distinct and diverse as the worshiping community. On Sunday mornings, you can experience the beautiful and rich sounds of the Chancel Choir, feel the organ music resonate through your body, join in song with keyboards and percussion, or relax to the soothing folk melodies of a guitar.
Doors are open in many ways; just show up, and someone will greet you. Be careful, though — you might leave with a choir folder and robe assigned!
Youth and adults are welcome to join our Chancel Choir. They rehearse on Sunday mornings at 9:15am in the first floor Music Room, followed by participation in the 11am worship service from September through May.
If you are an instrumentalist who would like to perform with the choir or have any questions, please contact us.
Handbell Choir
The Handbell Choir at AkronFCC is a harmonious blend of musical talent and community spirit. The rhythmic chimes of the handbells resonate throughout our Meetinghouse, uplifting congregants and fostering a deep sense of unity and joy among all who listen. Beyond the music, our handbell choir serves as a symbol of teamwork and dedication, bringing together individuals of different ages and backgrounds in a shared passion for creating beautiful melodies that enhance our worship experience.
All “ding-a-lings” are invited to ring! Rehearsals are on Wednesdays from 5:30 to 6:45pm, September through May. The handbell choir participates in the 11am worship and other special services throughout the year.
